Notch Privacy Policy
Notch is a habit and task app. It has no accounts and no servers of its own. This policy explains what happens to your information.
Your data stays on your device
Your habits, tasks, logs, reminders, profile name, and profile photo are stored only on your device. We cannot see them and do not collect them.
Anonymous usage data
To understand which features are used, Notch sends anonymous usage events (for example, "habit logged") through Aptabase, a privacy-focused analytics service hosted in the United States. Events include the app version, operating system, device model, and locale. They never include your habits, tasks, profile, or any content you enter. They are not linked to your identity and are not used to track you across apps or websites. No advertising identifiers are collected.
You can turn this off at any time in Settings → Privacy → Share anonymous usage.
Permissions
- Notifications: used only to deliver habit reminders you set. Reminders are scheduled on your device.
- Photos: used only when you choose a profile photo. The photo is kept on your device.
Backups
If you export a backup, the file is created on your device. It only leaves the device when you choose to share or save it somewhere, and where it goes is up to you.
Deleting your data
Use Settings → Privacy → Erase all data, or uninstall the app. We hold no copy of your data, so there is nothing else to delete.
Children
Notch is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date.
